BTHO Georgia

So, Eilene and I met some friends to watch Texas A&M vs. Georgia in the ADVOCARE 100 Independance Bowl located in Shreveport, LA. We went to Lucky's over by Minute Maid Park. We had a good time... the Ags just ran out of time. Here are the girls...
Afterwards, I went over to Cory's house to hang out for a little bit. I got to hang out with him and his favorite girl. She and he played kung fu and she took pictures of us.

Black Family Christmas

Saturday, Cory picked me up and we went to his extended family Christmas.

When we arrived, 5 or 6 family members walked out to greet us and unload the car. What a greeting. George introduced himself to me as Lyndsi's pawpaw. I met several others. As we went inside, everyone said how they were related to Lyndsi [former employee, cory's cousin] or Cory. They said they had known about me for 3 weeks and couldn't wait to meet me. It made me feel really good inside. We mingled for about 30 minutes ir so and then it was lunch time. There was so much food.... chicken and dumplings, ribs, brisket, green bean casserole, sausage, sausage balls, pigs in a blanket, queso dip, I mean, you name it and it was there! What an assortment...
After lunch we just sat around and visited. I met the cousins and aunts and uncles. They took a family picture in the backyard. There must have been about 25 or 30 people...maybe more!

We watched Zoey and her Uncle Clay play washers in the backyard until it got to chilly sitting in the shade. Some folks played KILLER in the living room [i killed everyone before they could spot me!] , some played dominos in the other room. After a while, the kids busted out the guitars and played while some sang Rudolf and Jingle Bells... Zoey also had everyone sing a couple rounds of Old MacDonald. It was fun. There was no TV, there was just the sounds of laughter and family visiting and enjoying one another.

After some family had left, the turned on the wii and played a few games. The day was long, but it was wonderful. It was just a great time with new friends....

I really enjoyed spending the day with Cory and his family.

Build A Bear with Zoey

Tonight, we took Zoey to Build a Bear. She had never been before. It was nice because she was so easy to please. She picked out the sparkly pink unicorn.
She rubbed the little red heart in her hands...
Pressed the heart on her nose...
Gave it kisses and placed it inside. We had a good time. Afterwards, we drove to Green Tee and looked at Christmas lights. It was so fun.

Happy Birthday CHC

my weekend!

Friday, cory and I went to the Singing Christmas Tree. Mom saved us some seats on the second row. They were perfect. It was very good. It makes me happy and brings joy to my face! I love Christmas and the Holiday season.

Saturday morning, I got up and went with Mikey to take Brooke and Walker to Reagan's birthday party in the Woodlands. They kids didn't behave very well and so it was a little bit stressful. I was ready to gbe home. When I got home, I did some laundry and took a short nap. Cory picked me up and we went to dinner at his brother's house. Ryan and Ashley live in Deer Park and we had enchiladas along with his parents and his brother Clay.

Afterwards, Cory and I met up with Eilene and the girls for some drinks at Cullen's. We stayed there for a little bit and then headed to Sherlocks, We had fun there, but it was a little crowded because of the UFC fight. I was not feeling very good, I think I was just tired, so Cory took me home.
Sunday morning, Cory came over [again], i know!! and we ran some errands. I made Kani's Chicken and we watched The Wanted. It was a good Assasin/thriller movie. Cory has to watch a chick flick soon.... he owes me. :)
After the movie, we baked cookies and then decorated them. We had so much fun! Cory went in my room and found my sunglasses.... they were super fly!! ;)

After I played on farmville a little, we met up with Justin, Tracy and the boys and had a nice dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Cory took some cookies home to Zoey and now I am at home uploading the pictures and watching a movie.[The Proposal]

Tomorrow I am going to helop Angela with the house, Tuesday, I am going to mom's Christmas performance, Wednesday, I think I am hanging out at the Blacks..Friday night, Cory and I are taking Zoey to Build-A-Bear to make an animal [probably Alvin and the Chipmunks] and then we are going to look at Chrismtas lights. I am so excited!

Overalls

I have made several Fightin' Texas Aggie overalls over the years. This will be Walker's very first pair! He is so passionate about "the Gig'em Aggies"... it is so precious. With the recent remebrance of the bonfire, my sister talked to them about what happened and they just shed tears for those Aggies that died. It is a part of them.. already. I love that!

Here are the overalls...

Brooke's Dance Weekend...

I was invited by my sister to attend Brooke's very first Dance Convention. Basically the girls take classes all day while the moms shop for dance clothes and have lunch/dinner and then there is a "show" and dance Saturday night. This theme was D'Masquerade.
I got to the Marriout and first thing we did was go to lunch at Benihanas! Yum!

We were ready for the party!!!!

This is a little snap shot of one of the tap classes... It almost drove me out of my mind... :)
The cool thing at Convention is to get your shoes signed by the instructors... you know Brooke was all over that!!!
Brooke was ready to go home...these poor babies were so exhausted! It was a fun girls weekend!

Happy Birthday Dad!

We went to Gabby's for Dad's 58th birthday. It was a good time. Karen and Mac were there. Afterwards, we went to the house for chocolate cake.

Being Aunt Megs

Today when I got home from work, I went to pick up Brooke and Walker because Macy had some haircuts to do and needed them gone. I offered them Chuck E Cheese, they wanted McDonalds... The only reason is because Macy NEVER takes them to McDonalds. Well, I wouldn't say NEVER, but rarely might be the right answer. If you know her, you know they go to Chick-fil-a. Don't get me wrong, I love that place and would take it anyday. Pasadena just recently tore down and existing McDonalds [down the street from Chick-fil-a] and built a BRAND NEW one. The building is pretty. The employees are pretty stupid.

The playground is awesome.. so the kids say. We got there about 4pm. I let the kids go straight to the playroom... cause that's what aunts do. So about 4:45, Walker got hungry... then Brooke. They had just discovered the video game center in the middle of the playroom. It's the "G" version of the games at the BARS... with photo hunt and everything!!! Anyways.. so I go get the kids happy meals.

What I order...

One Boy toy

One Girl toy

4 nuggets

1 plain hamburger

What I get...

Two boy toys

4 nuggets

1 cheeseburger

It was so ridiculous.... I might not go back there. I saw a lady take the wrong tray, sit at her table and open the nuggets, return the tray to the counter [without the workers seeing] because they allow another lady [who didn't see all this] take the tray to her table after they continue to fill it with miscellaneous food for her 4 non-english speaking children. OH WELL....

They had lots of fun running and screaming and meeting new friends and reuniting with old ones.

6pm. Let's head home. We get to their house... both start whining because they thought we were going to my house.... nope. The joys of being an Aunt... I get to take you back home!!

Also... if you notice in the picture, they are dressed up in their Aggie gear... because according to Walker "12 aggies died today" Bonfire 11/18/99 Remember the Fallen.

I love you Brooke and Walker!

Charlie.

I gave one of my dogs away to one of my students. She really fell in love with Charlie girl, so I let her have her. She is in a good place. She has a backyard to run around in and Courtney is taking good care of her. In fact, Courtney couldn't wait to get home from school and play with her today!!
Here is a picture in a new sweater that she got. She loves being pampered. What a lucky dog.
