NOLA

Eilene and I bought tickets to New Orleans back in October for $69 bucks. We picked a random weekend in January. Fast forward to this weekend... the NO Saints are in the playoffs...against the Vikings... in New Orleans. AWESOME!

So our seemingly calm weekend in NOLA has transformed into a jam packed town full of Beer and Football. Luckily, we like that!

I am leaving in the morning at 8:35am. We should be in NOLA by 9:45am. I can't wait to share pictures and stories. I am sure there will be plenty!!

Friends from a distance...

Sunday, Cory brought Zoey and we went to my parents house to hang out. Walker was there so he and Zoey played with toys AND watched TV. We visited with my parents. It was very enjoyable.
My friend Erin came in town from Seattle. She met us at my parents house, then we went to dinner at Gringos. We had a couple margaritas and just caught up with what was going on in our lives. She got to meet Cory and I was happy about that. I love sharing him with people that I love.Zoey was a little tired and got a little clingy.. to me and i loved it. :)

We had a nice dinner. We also got ice cream and took pictures.
After dinner, we parted our ways. The Blacks went home to get in bed, Erin and I went to my house to catch up! IT is true that you don't realize how much you miss someone until they come back...

Beauty for Ashes

He gives beauty for ashes
Strength for fear
Gladness for mourning
Peace for despair

When sorrow seems to surround you
When suffering hangs heavy oer your head
Know that tomorrow brings
Wholeness and healing
God knows your need
Just believe what He said

When what youve done keeps you from moving on
When fear wants to make itself at home in your heart
Know that forgiveness brings
Wholeness and healing
God knows your need
Just believe what He said

This is from a song that is sung by Crystal Lewis. It is beautiful. I heard the reference to the bible verse on television this morning. I watched Joel Osteen and Dr. Young from Second Baptist. I really enjoyed him. Too bad his church is so far away.

They both talked about love. Agape Love. A giving love. Encompassing love.

I want to love like that. Sometimes I use wimpy love. I want to have MIGHTY love.

# 1 commandment... love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and body...
#2 commandment... love neighbor as you love yourself...

how can we love?

make LOVE number 1.

ying-yang

i am happy and i am sad.

i was supposed to go to Temple for a wonderful girls weekend. there was a schedule change and it affected me. although i exhausted all resources, no one was able to cover and i was forced to cancel the trip. life lesson: get things in writing. always. have fun for me this weekend girls. happy birthday JP!

ANYWAYS... this weekend had been good so far. i came home, farmed, worked on Petville and even cooked something up in Cafe world.. man i love facebook apps! then i took a little nap and headed over to cory's house. cory greeted me outside with a little kiss. when i walked up, zoey started jumping up and down yelling, megans here!!! it made me smile.

we spent the evening eating pretend cupcakes and building castles with blocks. we watched a little bit of tv and then it was time to go home. i can't wait to see what else will happen this weekend.

My job!

We smile without showing teeth.

We make sad faces.

I love my job. Really. I do.
